Inspect the record group associated with the LOV. Try to run the SQL in SQLPLUS and see what happens.
I have already check the SQL query and it is working properly.

Use DISPLAY ERROR (menu option) to see the underlying error.
I am afraid that I don't understand what do you want to mean.Would you be more explicit, please.
What Grant meant was that in the main toolbar from the Help submenu, you can see the diplay error menu item. You can click on it and see what happened at the database side.
Unless you have replaced the default menu bar - in any case you should try in a simple case (with a default menu) and check out the underlying Oracle error - which is usually to do with the SQL.
I had the same problem, in my select statement i had an order by ... ASC.
I removed the ASC and my problem is resolved.
