Failed to Initialize the application 'soa-infra'

    676920
      Hi,

During installation of SOA 11g, i am facing problem in starting the managed server.
Iam using the following components with versions:

*1. JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.2.0 (Base install)*
      *2. Weblogic Server 10.3.2.0*
      *3. SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.0*

Configured the weblogic sever and initialized successful. I can able to login with weblogic admin console http://localhost:7001/console
But unable to initialize the managed server.
I entered in the command prompt the following line to start the Managed server:

      cd C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\user_projects\domains\domain1\bin+
      startManagedWebLogic.cmd soa_server1*

please find the error logs below:

      *10.4.5 404 Not Found*
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

Can any one help me to resolve this problem...

      Thanx in advance

There are couple of issues here.
          1. EM is not accessible
          2. SOA Infra is not starting up.

For the first issue, it looks like you haven't configured EM, while creating the domain. To configure EM now, invoke the config wizard, choose extend domain option, select the domain, choose Enterprise Manager template and complete the wizard.

For the second issue, it looks more of a class path issues.

            I had already configured the EM manager and other things while creating domain. I selected the option as follows;

            1. create a new weblogic domain.
            2. generate a domain configured automatically to support the following products.
            (selected the below items)
            oracle soa suite 11.1.1.0
            oracle enterprise manager 11.1.1.0
            oracle BAM 11.1.1.0
            oracle wsm....
            oracle JRF...
All the above steps were shown as successfull till the last.
But facing the problem while starting the severs (only weblogic server started successfully).

            Iam using versions :
            Weblogic Server 10.3.2.0
SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.0 (but the wizard is showing version as 11.1.1.0)
Is this problem is due to version difference?

            Thanx

              Hi Aejaz,

I got the same problem on Vista. Shutdown the server then right click target folder where SOA suite were installed and check folder properties:

              - if you don't have full control on folder and sub-folders then click on advanced and add administrator and you own account to persmission entries list,
              - give yourself and administrator full control (read, update, delete, etc...).

You will need to check sub directory wlserver_10.3 under your SOA suite target installation directory: I didn't recall why the security change I did on the root directory didn't propagate to this specific sub-directory (wlserver_10.3).

I think this will solve your problem.

                Thanx a lot JP

                Its working fine.
I changed the permission of some folders. (as everyone- full control)

                Once again Thanx for all....
