currently we are testing the jasper report engine. We are already able to open such a report from forms by a forms personalization.
Now we want to run a concurrent report where the output should be a link to a jasper report.
I start the request "open jasper report" with parameter "001". After successful finishing the request should give me a link like "http://jasper/myreport¶meter=001" which will be opened in a new browser tab.
Well, is it possible to open a URL by using a concurrent request?
thanks for your reply. I already found this thread but it isn't very helpful because he wanted to open a discoverer viewer and they suggested only "discoverer solutions" and not a URL solution.
Further dgood76 posted, that I thinks that such a call is not possible within a concurrent request :-/

Spawning new Browser window using FND_UTILITIES.OPEN_URL [ID 115035.1]
we are at 11.5.10. So the first document isn't very helpful.
Regarding the second and third. They look quite ok. In those papers they are writing about the function FND_UTILITIES.OPEN_URL('xxx'). But I don't know where I can enter this command.
Do you know it?
And just to get sure, I want to open an URL by using a concurrent request.
Please check How to open an URL with PLSQL FUNCTION?
This issue is solved.
We create a concurrent request and call an executable which refers to a PL/SQL Package.
The Package will create the HTTP Request to the Jasper Server.
The Jasper Server returns the required PDF File.
The PDF File will be saved in the E Business Suite (FND_FILE, FND_LOG).
