10g RMAN restore to 11g
Mar 29, 2010 1:35 PM
Developement, Test, RMAN catelog and production databases
on *10.2.0.3* right now.
I am going to upgrade these database to 188.8.131.52
I am going to
upgrade Developement and test databases to 184.108.40.206 sometime in APRIL
After one month
I am going to upgrade RMAN catelog and production databases to 220.127.116.11.
So once the
developement and test databases will be upgraded to 18.104.22.168
RMAN catelog database and production database will be on 10.2.0.3 for month
Now My question is
Can I restore developement and test databases from
production 10g backup and RMAN catelog 10g*?*
Please let me know if you have more question.

in response to
You will be able to restore & recover the dev/test databases from their own respective backups while using 10g Catalog Schema.
Please check the RMAN Compatibility Matrix - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/backup.112/e10643/compat003.htm
