Oracle 10g End of Life & Support

user138496May 20 2010 — edited May 20 2010
Recently I heard that Oracle 10g (we are currently using 10gR2 and 10gAS) will be end-of-life in 2010. Is this true ? If not then when and how the support will be handled after the product is end-of-life ? Thanks.

Yes, this is true.
Which means 10gR2 reaches extended support, which means only fixes for known problems, and no new fixes.

See for yourself ...

Go to http://www.oracle.com
Hover over the Support menu link at the top and click on 'Premier Support'
Scroll down to, and click on 'Lifetime Support' link
Scroll down to, and click on 'Lifetime Support Policy: Oracle Technology Products (PDF)' link

The information is on page 4. The words in the document prior to that point are useful, and I recommend reading them.
