Sorry, I don't find better place for this post...
Hello, I have Oracle 11g RAC installed on two Red Hat 4 Linuxes nodes.
Instances names are appropriately: LIBD1 and LIBD2.
Now I try to monitor these two instances from Spotlight of Quest installed on Windows 7.
I open Oracle User Wizard, give SYS credentials, choose create new user with name SPOTLIGHT1 and get error during creation.
This the full error in Spotlight:
An error has occured in table DropSysSyn in connection LIBD1 with the following error
ORA-29471: DBMS_SQL access denied
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SQL", line 1017
ORA-06512: at line 8 in table DropSYSSyn
This is information from appropriate trace file:
DBMS_SQL Security error: ORA-29471!
0x4cf622608 1046 package body SYS.DBMS_SQL
0x4ff284580 16 anonymous block
I also try to run:
GRANT ANY PRIVILEGES TO SPOTLIGTH1 ON DBMS_SQL WITH GRANT OPTION
with SYS user and than do back in User Wizard in Spotlight, choose configure existing user instead of create new, like it was previously, but I get the same error.
Any one know what I may to do for get Spotlight work?
Thank you for ahead.

Your problem is one of new 11g security features by which Oracle blocks the session (you need to disconnect then reconnect) int he case that you try to operate on an invalid cursor id.
I'm troubleshooting this issue in my SQL sql code right now.......
This therefore appears to be a Spotlight product defect - you should bring this up with the vendor.
