Where is the problem ?

I performed recovery using EM, but the database couldn't start.
I just want single package from this database, how could I restore this tablespace or get any type of export?

thanks very much

    Tiny_Oracle,

    If you have metalink access it would be better for you to check the ORA-600 diagnostic tool in there.

    read 13627 KB redo, 0 data blocks need recovery
    Errors in file c:\oracle\click11g\diag\rdbms\click11g\click11g\trace\click11g_ora_1992.trc (incident=51767):

    Aborting crash recovery due to error 600

    I think you have had a bad restart of the database or something has corrupted lately, is that true? What is more in the alert.log file btw?

    Thanks Ogan,

    Yes that occures after hardware failure and I don't have SR at Oracle Support :(
    There's no more at log file about this issue.

    All what I want is to restore single important package, Can I perform cold backup or some thing like that ?

    Regards

    Tiny_Oracle,

    Ok then;

    Create the pfile from the spfile and start the database with that pfile BUT first delete everything inside it other than controlfile paths. We have to eliminate possibilities that this may be caused by a parameter in the spfile.

    Other than that i really shouldn't be guiding you when you have seen ORA-00600 error, no one has.

    Thanks asifkabirdba,

    I made this:

    SQL> conn sys/******* as sysdba
    Connected.
    SQL> shutdown immediate
    ORA-01109: database not open

    Database dismounted.
    ORACLE instance shut down.
    SQL> startup mount
    ORACLE instance started.

    Total System Global Area 1068937216 bytes
    Fixed Size 2182592 bytes
    Variable Size 750780992 bytes
    Database Buffers 310378496 bytes
    Redo Buffers 5595136 bytes
    Database mounted.
    SQL> alter database open;
    alter database open

    [107], [57549], [57552], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

    SQL>

    As I told you that happened after Hardware failure, when I fixed the server I got at first this error:
    ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress

    I let the database "Starting !" all the night but It couldn't start, then I performed the recovery and I'm here now !

    Tiny_Oracle,

    Have you tried recover database and alter database open resetlog commands?

    I have never seen this ORA-600 error before but i presume it can not complete the crash recovery. So you may should have to apply the latest archivelog to the database, if your database was in archive log mode.

    Before trying any suggestion or attempting any kind of recovery... cold backup the entire database first!

    ORA-600's are also best dealt with by logging a Service Request (SR) with Oracle Support - unless you find the exact same error with exact same symptoms and exact same o/s and versions listed on a Metalink/MoS support note that provides a workaround to use or patch to install.

    Have you found a fix yet? I have a similar error. My computer had a hard shutdown and checkdisk fixed some index files. Windows 2008 R2 x64 enterprise. Oracle 11.2.0.1 r2x64. Below is the error.

    SQL> shutdown immediate;
    ORA-01109: database not open

    Database dismounted.
    ORACLE instance shut down.
    SQL> startup mount;
    ORACLE instance started.

    i had a server crash (solaris 10) and the 11gR2 database on it has the same error now when i try to open database:

    SQL> alter database open;
    alter database open
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kcratr_nab_less_than_odr], [1], [5885], [2139], [2141], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

    when i did a oracle support search, found:
    Bug 10100975: DATABASE CRASH AND FAILS TO OPEN WITH ORA-600 [KCRATR_NAB_LESS_THAN_ODR]

    and unfortunately, there is no workaround:
    WORKAROUND:
    -----------
    None. Restore and recover PITR.

    Hi,

    Yes i reviewd the bug and you need to do PITR.

    One more why is , Bug is status 11 and you can with escalating the bug :) hope you may get better workaround soon :)

    This is my first attempt to write oracle forums, so i hope i will not cause any trouble.

    2 days ago i got a similar error due to abnormal shutdown.
    (ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kcratr_nab_less_than_odr], [1], [789], [26030], [26155], [], [], [], [], [], [], [])
    i spent whole day for log tracing and error fixing.
    Unfortunately i didnt have chance of PITR. I didnt have a back up of my 11g database (my fault, i omit to set up recovery routine as always ).
    After an extensive log tracing, i figured out that 11g is getting error after Completed redo scan. While trying to make recovery off data blocks.
    Since db was a production system and since i had to wait metalink for a solution, there was no harm on trying some workarounds on copy db.
    So i assumed that i can pretend my data and control files as cold back up.
    Just in case once more i backed up my crashed db and than started the recovery process. This is what i did 2 days ago :

    *>connect sys as sysdba*
    *> startup mount*
    *> alter database recover until cancel using backup controlfile; (i have ignored promtings).*
    *> alter database recover continue default; (until it says “no such file or directory” or there are no more suggestions.)*
    *> alter database recover cancel;*
    *> alter database open resetlogs;*

    And my database was alive .. In my case i havent lost any data but i do not guarantee that this method is data loss free (im just a rookie :) ).
    This just brings my database back to life.
    I hope this will also a workaround for you ...
