If you have 64v Bit OS you can install both 64 bit as well 32 bit oracle client.
But both the client should have two different Central inventory.
You can not do it on 32 bit OS.

Well, I got the 32-bit client to work. It was a path issue.
But I'd still be interested as to how you can have a 32-bit client installation and a 64-bit client installation on the same machine (in case we start using 64-bit applications that need database connectivity).
