Retreiving Domain Password Weblogic 10.3

Prithish
Hello Everyone,

I have created a domain in weblogic 10.3

Can anyone explain me how to get back the user name and password for the domain created , if anyone has forgotten about it.

Hi,

There are internal WebLogic APIs which can be used to decrypt the Passwords. But that is not recommended to be shared on Public forums. So if you have forgotten the UserName and Apssword then Better reset it...Like described here: http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2009/12/15/resetting-admin-username-password/

.
.
Thanks

Hi Pritish,

Just Follow the below 4 Steps to get rid of this issue forever:

Step1). Move inside "E:\bea\user_projects\domains\weblogic_prithish\servers\AdminServer" and then DELETE Everything available inside the "AdminServer" directory.

Step2). Now Create a directory with name "security" inside "E:\bea\user_projects\domains\weblogic_prithish\servers\AdminServer"

Step3). Create a file with name "boot.properties" inside "E:\bea\user_projects\domains\weblogic_prithish\servers\AdminServer\security" with following two Lines in it:

username=prithish
password=prithish

Step4). Start your AdminServer Now.

.
.

Hi Prithish,

This is Possible Only in one case if you have provided a Wrong format in your *"boot.properties"* file there should be NO Special Charachers (UTF or Invisible sharacters) Or NO Space in your "boot.properties" file ...except below two Lines:

username=prithish
password=prithish

Please edit this File very carefully....better use Noteopad kind of Simple Editors.
Use *"ls"* (Unix command) or *"dir"* Windows Command to Make Sure that the File Extension is "boot.properties" only...and not "boot.properties.txt" or something else.

NOTE: There should be No Heading Or Trailing SPACE character in these two Lines.
