You need to create an item on the other page- in this case, you are trying to set the value of "ID" in the other page. So you need to have an item named "ID" in the page you are linking to.1 person found this helpful
Coudl you please show what you have in the LINK ? how did you build it and what is the linking column name ? ID ? I don't think ID is a good name...
I don't have an item named ID in the page I'm linking to since I have a classic report on that page (not a form or something else). How would I create it to make it work?
So, on page 1 I have some columns from a table (ID, name etc) and I want to link the values in the ID column to a report on page 2, so that the columns in page 2 (order no, type etc) show only the information for the ID I clicked on in page 1. I went to Page Definition -> Regions -> Report link -> click on the "edit" icon on the left of column "ID" and in the Column Link section I have the following:
Link text: #ID#
Link Attributes: title="Click to see deal information."
Target: Page in this application
Clear Cache: CIR,2
I have no item called ID on page 2.
Then you must create an item called ID on your page 2 ( make it hidden) and the link will pass the ID value of the picked row to that hidden item. Now in page 2 make your other report query filter on id= P2_ID or whatever naming you are using..
Hope this helps,
Thank you guys, I created a new item and it works perfectly!
