when u go to terminal follow these steps
1. xhost +
2. su - oracle (Oracle user
from which u have to run installer)
4. export DISPLAY
6. Then go to the path where the runInsataller and run it.

I am trying to install oracle 10g on solaris 10 through Vmware in Windows.It is not clear for me how you try to run this installer.
Do you know that oracle setup needs X windows?
Unless you intend to complete a silent-mode installation, you must install the software from an X Window System workstation, an X terminal, or a PC or other system with X server software installed.For more info please read install documentation (I guess you have Sorlaris SPARC 64)

my base OS is Windows XP. I have installed VMware on windows and created a virtual machine for installing Solaris OS. Now I have installed Solaris. On above Solaris I am trying to install
