    Oracle On linuxx86_64

      Hi,

      When i am trying to Install oracle on Linux i am facing the below issue.

      OS : Redhat Linux 5.2 x86_64bit

      Oracle : 10g Release 2 (10.2) for Linux x86-64

      -bash-3.2$ ./runInstaller

          You have this package libXp.so.6? please run:
          rpm -qa| libXp.so.6

            As root, install libXp package(s) from Linux installation media.

              rpm -qa libXp.so.6
              Mmmhhh... I don't think it will work... maybe
              # rpm -qa | grep libXp

                Thanks for correction ;)

                Below command can be use also instead of rpm -qa|grep package_name

                rpm -qa --queryformat "%{NAME}-%{VERSION}.%{RELEASE} (%{ARCH})\n" | grep package_name

                      Do you have this package?

                      rpm -ivh libXp-1.0.0-8.i386.rpm

                      If no please try to install and retest issue

                        you should try to install latest jdk and gcc package and it should work fine.
