The content in this post perhaps answers my question, which is this:
We have multiple developers of our repositories. In 10g, each developer has the entire 10g suite installed on his/her workstation, and can create/revise a repository, then activate that repository (through NQSConfig.ini) on their own local workstation for testing.
My question: when installing 11g for that exact same purpose, do we install "simple" or "software only" on their workstations?
FYI, 11g is already installed on the server. Just need to get the developers installed now.
Per Documentation "The Oracle BI Administration Tool is a Windows application that you can use to create and edit repositories." So, you need to install BI Admin tool on windows and then try to connect to the machine where it installed.
