Creating DEV_PORTAL schema for Oracle Forms

Hi all,

I am trying to install Oracle Forms and Portal. I am following the Oracle documents but still have problem when trying to create the required new schemas using RCU. I already installed Oracle DB 11g and it is running and functions well. However when trying to create Oracle Portal schema (DEV_PORTAL) I received strange error that the use/password are invalid and cannot connect to the DB using thin driver. it is strange because I had not problem to create the other required schames like DEV_DISCOVERER and DEV_PORTLET using the same RCU tool with the same user and padd (sys/my_pass) as SYSDBA. I have also installed the required JDK so I will need your help solving this problem.

My solution, which still didn't allow me to fully finish the install, was to run the loadjava command after pre-creating the id in the database as the installer wasn't creating the id.

I now have a fatal error trying to load the Cache Invalidation Triggers...

Oracle 11g Passwords are case sensitives by default make you are providing passwords correctly.

2nd Increase the processes parameter of the database instance

I provided the correct password because i create the other schemas (DEV_PORTLET,DEV_DISCOVERER) seccussfully during the same installation.

My processes parameter is set to 500 and I have the same error for the DEV_PORTAL.

any other things i might missed?

Only as a quick workaround:
After your wcu application performed pre-installation checks, go to oracle database admin and create user DEV_PORTAL (or with your custom prefix) manually.
After that continue execution wcu utility.
It helped me with this issue.
