Storing XLS into BLOB column and retrieving it back

Hi


I have a requirement where in i need to save an .xls file into a blob column.


Later i should be able to retrive the xls file from the blob when required.
After retreiving the xls file I should be able to read the individual contents in the blob column.


Can any one please let me know how to achieve this.
