Yes, I often get this too. Try blowing away your compiled classes, and then recompile - this should fixe it.
I've tried that in the past. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This is one of those times.
It happened again. There was a copy of the "a.java" in the project and another one in a different directory (different version) that was in the project's Source root directories.
