What is the purpose of "... implements Serializable" without using any of the classes that serialize & deserialize? (Only getters & setters are in the class). [{color:#ffffff}Beauty Tips{color}|http://www.beautytipshub.com/]

It's a marker interface. It tells the JVM that it's OK to serialize that class. You don't need to write any specific code to allow serialization of that object, that's done for you (you need to [follow some simple rules|http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Programming/serialization/], however).
