Thank you very much for your code sample! It was exactly what I needed.

I have tested paged results and works with openldap 2.2.29 port on win32 of Lucas Bergman and openldap 2.3.27 on linux.

Additional help for paged results and virtual list view:
        http://java.sun.com/products/jndi/tutorial/ldap/search/batch.html

From what I have read, only Active Directory supports virtual list view.

          Hi adler_steven ,
I learned a lot from all your examples regarding AD to query attributes from AD.
I need your help regarding how to export data from Active Directory into LDIF file using java/jndi. if you have any sample java code for that it will be very useful for me.
My AD is on Windows 2003.

          Thanks in advance

            Why reinvent the wheel ?

If you are running on Windows, rather than write your own tool using Java, why not just use the tool included in Windows to export data into an LDIF file ?

The tool is called LDIFDE.EXE and here is a link to some information concerning its usage; http://support.microsoft.com/kb/237677

Alternatively if you are running on another platform, you may be able to use some of the OpenLDAP tools.
