    PL/SQL  no output to screen

    28807
      Hello,

      I have an oracle 8.1.7i Database on SuSE Linux 7.2.

      The Problem is: I don't get output to the screen for PL/SQL
      procedures.

      The only answer for this simple procedures is: "PL/SQL procedure
      successfully completed."

      DECLARE

      num_a NUMBER := 6;
      num_b NUMBER;

      BEGIN

      num_b := 0;
      num_a := num_a / num_b;
      num_b := 7;

      dbms_output.put_line(' Wert von numb ' || num_b);

      EXCEPTION

      WHEN ZERO_DIVIDE

      THEN

      dbms_output.put_line('Versuch , durch Null zu teilen');
      dbms_output.put_line(' Wert von num_a ' || num_a );
      dbms_output.put_line(' Wert von num_b ' || num_b );

      END;
      /

      but I expect somthing like: 'Versuch , durch Null zu teilen'.

      and

      "PL/SQL procedure successfully completed."

      Does anybody know this problem ?
      Have I forgotten to turn on anything ?

      best regards,

      Stefan Lewartowski
