Error occurred during initialization of VM

I have my machine with 8GB memory and 5gb swap space.

i have given Maximum heap size as 2gb and minimum as 2gb. and when i start jboss application server with this configuration i get

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
~

plz help.
