    EAS Error

    user4958421
      hello All-

I have installed Hyperion 11.1.2. Server A i have installed & configured foundation services , EPMA , Planning etc & on server B i have installed Essbase, EAS, EIS & Essbase studio..Everything got installed & configured correctly...I am able

to login into the workspace, Hyperion Planning, shared services , web analysis except for EAS.

I ran a validation report on Server A & got following Error:

FAILED     HTTP: Http     Availability of http context http://serverA:19000/aps/APS
Error: com.hyperion.cis.utils.BadResponseCodeException: Bad response code with GET method: 503
Recommended Action: Check application is started     36 s

FAILED     HTTP: Http     Availability of http context http://serverA:19000/easconsole/easconsole.jnlp
Error: com.hyperion.cis.utils.BadResponseCodeException: Bad response code with GET method: 503
Recommended Action: Check application is started     36 s

FAILED     HTTP: Http     Availability of http context http://serverA:19000/easconsole/easconsole.jnlp
Error: com.hyperion.cis.utils.BadResponseCodeException: Bad response code with GET method: 503
Recommended Action: Check application is started

Than I ran the validation report on Server B & got following in the report:

FAILED     WEB: Web App     Availability of web application context http://serverB:10080/easconsole/easconsole.jnlp
      Error: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
Recommended Action: Start application     2 s

FAILED     WEB: Web App     Availability of web application context http://serverB:10080/easconsole/easconsole.jnlp
      Error: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
      Recommended Action: Start application

FAILED     WEB: Web App     Availability of web application context http://serverB:13080/aps/APS
      Error: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
      Recommended Action: Start application

As i said that EAS installation configuration & deployment all were successfull. Does anybody know what might be causing this isuue ?? My only guess is that these components are installed on different servers & do i need to modify any of

my server properties (firewall settings etc) so that it can make that connection ??

      Thanks!

Is the EAS service definitely started, you don't have something else running on that port 10080 do you, like maybe some virus software.
Have you checked the logs e.g. MIDDLEWARE_HOME/user_projects/epmsystem1/diagnostics/logs/services/

          Cheers

It seems like its not able to identify the web logic domain password from server A??

Does anybody know how should i fix this problem?

John seeing this error do you still thing its has to do something with the port 10080 ??

Its my undestanding that eas & aps are the 2 products that get deployed to the existing web logic domain & both if them have similar issue.

Any help on this one would be much appreciated.

            Thanks!

got the following during configuration of EAS.

I get exactly the same thing on weblogic server when i configure aps again.

On looking at some of these errors it talks about not able find eas.ear. I went to the common folder on server & that file is there but its not able to read it ??

Not sure what exactly is this error about ??

              please advise

              thanks!

                Hello All-

I was able to install & configure all the components of 11.1.2. I am not sure how to fix the error of deployment of EAS & provider service that i posted last on this thread. What I did was that I configured the EAS & appliction provider on

the server A on which foundation services was configured & everything went fine with the deployment. On server B I just have Essbase, EIS & Essbase studio ..Everything else is installed on the box that had foundation services

confugured..I got a lot of help from this forum during instllation specially from John special thanks to him :)....Will try to do some research on this error & will let you if i am able to get to bottom of it...

                Thanks :)

Sorry I couldn't help any further on your issue, it is pretty hard to diagnose over a forum and I have not come across them errors yet.

                  Cheers

                  John
