Java support in winXP

843798May 26 2003 — edited Jun 12 2003
Hello,
We are developing a software that needs to be downloaded thru the browser window. The downloadable EXE is launched from an applet. It works correctly on Win98 and other operating systems with Java installed in the machine.
The problem is that since Windows XP does not have Java inside the browser (IE), the applet fails to load.
Please let me if there is a way to prevent this, I mean, that the applet should not fail, instead it should automatically install Java(JRE) and then launch the Applet.
Thanks for any help.
