Compare two Sound waves?

Hi Guys,
I have a requirement.In that i have to compare sound files(or sound waves) and have to tell the result that to be in fly.And in which format or how we can store the sound file in database..

You'd probably need to define what you mean by "compare" two sound waves if you wanted to get any kind of help at all...
