    How to get bean events in IE browser?

      Hello,

      I try to put a JavaBean embedded in ActiveX (with the bridge) into Internet Explorer, with <object> tag. (I know it sounds weird, but this is just for testing.)

      The bean is displayed, but I can't get any event. I tried the 2 following codes, but with no success:

      <script language="VBScript">
      Sub id_actionPerformed (evt)
      MsgBox "OK"
      End Sub
      </script>

      <script language="VBScript" for="id" event="actionPerformed">
      MsgBox "OK"
      </script>

      Any idea please?

          Try using JavaScript's LiveConnect Technology. Personally I don't recommend it, because It might be a bit difficult to make it work properly (due to JVM's versioning problems). However, if there's no other way to implement the task you're trying to do (whatever It is), I think LC is your best option, because you use a scripting language (VBScript) to get the events.

          Hope this helps.
