I apologize if I have posted this in the wrong place... I am trying to download the javax.comm extension however since the changeover to Oracle I am having trouble finding the place to download this.... We are running jdk1.6 on Linux and need the javax.comm extension.
The links that I have found are all redirected to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/index-jsp-141752.html which gives information about the Java Communications API but does not provide a link or instructions on how to download it.
If someone could provide information on how to download the javax.comm extension that is compatible with jdk1.6 I would appreciate it.

It seems to ORACLE has lost this link, it cannot be located anywhere. I've found one old copy here: http://llk.media.mit.edu/projects/picdev/software/windows-java-install.html, http://llk.media.mit.edu/projects/picdev/software/javaxcomm.zip .
Thanks for this - I was just having the same issues and stumbled across your link. I am a little worried that this is not hosted on the Oracle domain, though. There seem to be two main pages around Oracle for javax.comm which are these
1. A FAQ (without an update or publication date) which has no download link
2. This one, which is where you are redirected from the old Sun page (http://java.sun.com/products/javacomm/)
This only has a link to the API which is interesting but not very useful without a download link.
Come on, Oracle, sort it out !
