What are the classes HTTPConnection and HTTPResponse?
specifically what does rsp.getText() do?
show a bit more of the stack trace - at what point do you introduce the zip classes?
I thank you for you time ....
Here is printstack of my error:
java.util.zip.ZipException: unknown compression method at java.util.zip.InflaterInputStream.read(InflaterInputStream.java:140) at HTTPClient.HTTPResponse.readResponseData(HTTPResponse.java:936) at HTTPClient.HTTPResponse.getData(HTTPResponse.java:501) at HTTPClient.HTTPResponse.getText(HTTPResponse.java:545) at ts.NewEmpty.<init>(NewEmpty.java:86) at ts.NewEmpty.main(NewEmpty.java:300)
What web server are u using.
Please check if it using HTTP Compression
I do not know what webserver they are using...
How to know and what impact it should have on it??
Any solutions / recommendation to my code??
Changing InputStream from String would give me only one available byte.. I pretty the page has lots of content. Why it does not show me here...
int status = rsp.getStatusCode(); InputStream data = rsp.getInputStream(); System.out.println("Status code-->"+status); System.out.println("Bytes Available-->"+data.available()); 1 2 Status code-->200 Bytes Available-->1
Can u open the website in all browsers.. including old ones..
If not then one of the reason may be that the Java API may not be supporting the format which has been used by the webserver for HTTP Compression
