Where are u getting this error?
if uare getting it in java console ( that is in applet ) then u will have to add the jar file to the applet tag in HTML
Thank you for your prompt reply.
Yes I am getting it in the Java console.
I had the jar file in my HTML file all along as shown below
CODEBASE = "."
CODE = "InputApplet.class"
NAME = "TestApplet"
ARCHIVE = "dbswing.jar,dx.jar,jconn2.jar,interclient.jar"
WIDTH = 500
HEIGHT = 450
HSPACE = 0
VSPACE = 0
ALIGN = CENTER
What can the problem be?
I think you need to put the supporting jar files in the same directory as your applet jar file, not in WEB-INF/lib (unless you've got servlet code the depends on them, then keep them in WEB-INF/lib also).
Thanks for the help.
I have found the problem!
In my java plug in settings, I have 2 java runtime environment options.
The default was the SDK 1.4.1. When I changed it to SDK 1.4.2, it worked. So I guess SDK 1.4.2 supports DBSwing components.
