How Do I Get A 3rd Party Applet Signed?

    843811
Hello, I have a Java applet chat room (created by PJIRC) which is not signed.
While I understand the differences between signed & unsigned with regards to the actions they can perform when signed/unsigned, I do not know how to sign my applet to stop the security warning shown to users when they open the applet.
I have contacted PJIRC and they say its not their problem and that I should look to signing the applet myself.
Does anyone have any clear information on the process to acheive this? Maybe a step by step guide for people who are not java programmers?
      Regards

Get the third party to sign it.

If they are the 3rd party they are severely mistaken.

Alternatively, if you trust the software yourself and are prepared to assume all the responsibility, sign it with your own signing certificate.
