According to the releasenotes 8.1.1 support 2008R2 as a Local resource, but creating accounts on a 2008R2 resource (local, not AD!) does not work when you have set the minimum password length in the security policy to something other then 0. Any other value will make the creation of an account fail with Unable to set user info: 'The name provided is not a properly formed account name'. This was never a problem on lower Windows versions.
Can anyone confirm this is a bug?
Any answer to this? We're about to do an upgrade and, on a similar note, cannot find anything to explain whether IDM 8.1.1 can talk to Active Directory (windows 2008 R2) through the resource adapter*.
Am assuing you used 821_0095.pdf for release notes.
Could anyone provide any solution to the case mentioned? Or confirm if it is a bug? I have encounter the same problem where in the password minimum length needs to be 0 otherwise the "unable to set info" message will appear. Thanks.
