Maximum Heap Size (Xmx) on JVM
843833Jan 19 2005 — edited Jan 19 2005I am currently running JBoss server on Window Server 2003, with 2 Gb of memory. JVM is set at 1.5Gb as the max memory heap size. Should I upgrade window server to 4 Gb of memory, can I set Xmx at a higher value (say 3.5Gb)? Is there any technical limitation I need to take into account? say.. 80% or 90% of available physical memory available.?
