    Problem with Portal Tools

    388873
      Hi,

I installed Oracle 9ias R2 with the following configuration:
Infrastructure - sun solaris 8, spark server
MidTier (Portal+BI) - windows 2000 server, intel server
I have applied the following patches
      - Core patch 2703110
      - NonCore patch 2703110
      - Portal patch 2744619
Last week I have installed successfully Portal Tools from January 2003 PDK.
After using webclipping for a week, I tried to configure webclipping with webcache.
That was my mistake number 1 :).
Webclipping never worked again, giving internal server errors. The only change I have done was on <ORACLE_HOME>\j2ee\OC4J_Portal\applications\
portalTools\webClipping\WEB-INF\providers\webClipping\provider.xml, like mentioned on the http://portalcenter.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/DOCTEAM/WEBCLIPPING/WEBCLIPV9025.PDF document.
Aftner n hours without results (even recovering the old provider.xml!), I tried to undeploy Portal Tools, and deploy them again. That was my mistake number 2...
Every time I deploy Portal Tools (manually, OEM, you name it...), I can reach portalTools test page, but when I click on any one of the providers test page (webclipping, omniportlet, sample) to go to the configure page, I get:
      500 Internal Server Error

I get the same error on application.log.
I have searched metalink for this problem, and they recommend to check library paths and .jar versions - already done it, and portal tools were working last week ! same files, same paths, same person :)...

Could anyone help me with this please ?
Its kind of frustrating, thinking that the only way to resolve this, will probably be to install midtier all over again.
