Solaris or windows
Nov 24, 2007 12:55 PM
Am a newbie with RTSJ, trying to learn the new technology. I have learnt that it does not work with windows and that I need a real time OS to use it.
I have a x86 machine, downloading solaris is the only option to use RTSJ is it?. And the developer edition of solaris 10 is good enough for this?. Please do let me know
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Solaris is currently your only option. The Developer edition should not be a a problem. See the FAQ Q 6, 7 and 8.
The Linux Early Access version should be available in the next month or two, but you'll need a Real-time Linux to take advantage of that. We'll be posting more info closer to the EA date.
