Sunfire v880 POST issue
807557Apr 15 2010 — edited Apr 22 2010Hi there, I'm having a bit of an issue with my sunfire v880 and I'm not sure what to do.
The system has 2x 1.2Ghz CPUs and 8GB of ram, as well as 6x 146GB FC-AL HDs, and one 18.2GB SCSI HD.
Everytime I turn it off (cold start) and turn it back on, I get this:
Executing Power On SelfTest w/%o0 = 0000.0000.0001.0040
2>Halting all other processors.
2>ERROR: Faulty Power Up Reset Sequence!

This seems like a hardware failure, however, if I press "b" for a soft reset, it goes on and boots normally, and never appears again until a full loss of power. I've stress tested the machine extensively, and found no issues with the RAM, CPU, or Motherboard.
Any ideas?
