Compatibility between CH 6000 ilom & T6300 alom
Jul 16, 2010 6:59 AM
Does anybody try to power on/off or configure the T6300 from the 6000 chasis successfully?
They are all latest firmware SysFW 6.7.x & ILOM 220.127.116.11b.
I always get error from the T6300 as following:
Are you sure you want to start /CH/BL2/SYS (y/n)? y start: Failed to start /CH/BL2/SYS
Moreover, changes on the SP network setting always fails. I need access the blade CLI from the 6000 chasis (start /CH/BL2/SP/cli) to configure it.

You can't do that with the T6300 blades because it has an ALOM rather than an ILOM like all the other blades. To change network configuration you need to connect via the dongle serially.
To power this blade off you need to start a cli on the SP of the blade directly start /CH/BLX/SP/cli and then you can power on/off the blade. This is just a limitation of the T6300 older technology.
