Solaris subscriptions

799875Mar 31 2010 — edited Jun 7 2010
Does anyone know what the latest cost for a Solaris 10 subscription is? Oracle no longer has the prices on the web, or at least it is completely impossible to find. They want to force people to call them and I don't care to waste any more time looking nor answering a hundred questions and navigating fifty phone menus in order to speak with someone to ask a basic question. If this is Oracle's new answer to customer support, it is sorely lacking.

" The Sun System Handbook ( the `SSH` ) is your friend. "
(Whisper that, over and over, a few dozen times.)

If a system is included on the Systems List, it is a current product.
If a system is on the EOL Systems List, it's been discontinued.

Your Sunfire V480 went EOL in December 2005.

Thus there's approx three more years until it goes EOSL.

Use the SSH and examine the resource page for each system you might be interested in.
It will also show GA dates and last ship dates.

The other systems you mentioned went EOL in 6/06, 6/06, and 4/05 respectively.
