I'm designing the new Solaris 10 file systems. It is lack storage size to allocate each file system if i planning use RAID-1 mirroring.
In order to reduce to size of file system, can i separate swap file system from 20G in c1t0d0s1 to RAID-1 mirror (10G for each submirror).
Will it be influence to performance?
I'm not sure exactly what your question is.
Yes, you can mirror swap.
If you have a 10G swapfile instead of a 20G swapfile, it is not equal, but unless you need more than 10G swapfile, you may not notice any difference in performance. It depends on how the system is being used.
