I have the Solaris 10 Service contract, and they told me that I cannot open a case. So my only hope is that a public fix is released somewhere that I am monitoring and can get a download from it.

The fix will be officially released and will be included in one of the patches that updates the toolset itself.

If your having issues with contract's though i'd strongly advise that you get in touch with your Sun Account Manager who should be able to sort out or clarify what the problem is with your current contract setup.

Any word on how long till the update is posted?

I'm afraid we don't have any update at the moment. The bug is still being worked on by the development team.

We will post back as soon as we have any news.

    Dear Peter

As per the others , would you please provide the output to the following :

    # showrev -p | cut -d" " -f2 | sort > /tmp/showrev-p
    # egrep '11978[8|9]|12033[5|6]|12108[1|2]' /tmp/showrev-p
    # egrep '12111[8|9]|12145[3|4]|12156[3|4]' /tmp/showrev-p
    # egrep '12223[1|2]|12300[5|6]|124463|12461[4|5]' /tmp/showrev-p

    # cat /etc/release

Also check the file /var/cacao/instances/default/logs/cacao.0 for those strings mentioned above using the grep command.

    Let us know, thanks.

    Hi Peter,

Looks like the same bug. We'll update this thread as soon as there's a release for this.

None as yet. The patch is still only available as an IDR.

If you have a support contract, you can raise a case to get this temporary patch, but there's still no official patch.

    Hi,
I'm also suffering from the 11/06 registration bug. I recently installed it on my Ultra60 because of some bugs in 01/06 that were giving me problems sigh.
Come on guys! Its not that hard to solve null pointer problems in java! Some things that might help:

    - my System is a Ultra60 w/ 2x450Mhz ultraSparc

    - a section from the cacao log is below

    - Update manager asks for my password twice (probably nothing)

    - on the Wizard page, just before I 'Finish', there is a panel object (of some sort) that says "This determines initial size of html widget prior to reload". Im guessing that the data object this (html?) frame was suppost to display must be null. That seems to be what the cacao log indicates is going on just before the exception... trying to construct the document.

Anyways, be sure to update this forum when a fix is available!

I see that 121118-11 is available, but still DOES NOT fix this bug. Any idea if I will be able to use my $360 Solaris 10 Service contract before it expires?

Finally a fix. Install 123003-03 and run through the process of:

    cacaoadm stop
    cacaoadm status
    /usr/lib/cc-ccr/bin/eraseCCRRepository
    rm /var/scn/persistence/SCN*
    cacaoadm start
    cacaoadm status
    netstat -an | grep 1116
    /usr/sbin/sconadm register -a -r <path to registration properties file>

    And I am now registered!

After applying patch 123003-03, I still cannot register. Here is the output after following instructions from previous post:

    # /usr/sbin/sconadm register -a -r /tmp/myreg.profile
    sconadm is running
