Cluster vs vmware vmotion

Hi

We are evaluating cluster options mainly Sun Cluster due VCS is expensive, and we still have another option: Vmware Vmotion. My experience is more with VCS and SC and I would like to know of somebody have experience with this product and what advantages and disadvantages is presenting against SunCluster 3.2.
I'm totally new in this kind of "vmware virtual cluster" if I can named like that but any comment or suggestions are really appreciated.
The applications that we need to implement in HA are in the midsize segment; not high IO and nor demanding a high cpu/memory performance, we are also considering to use iscsi disks for them (using 2 independent iscsi storage boxes and using mirrors in the volume manger level), but with this we have a restriction in SC 3.2 since is not supporting iscsi storage, so iscsi may be discarded.
