how do i connect to solaris Os through Windows 2000TELNET, FTP, and many other Internet Standard mechanisms should work "out of the box". Lots of other ways can be enabled either by configuration changes or installing additional software. If you explain what you want to do, and what you mean by "connect to", someone will be able to give you a more precise answer.
I want to connect to Sun Netra Machine, through windows XP/2000/2003. I have used XWin32 before, but it is 30 days trial software. Can anybody tell any other Freeware for the same?
Thanks in advance.
xming (available on sourceforge) and putty (a ssh client with X11 forwarding)
Samba is a very good tool for connecting Win with *nixes.
We are using it with different versions of Linux/Unix (including Solaris), it works perfectly.
