CPQary3 drivers are installed and working fine. OS sees the disk arrays without problem, and will quite happily boot into 32bit when I add kernel/unix in grub. The problem is when I try to boot in 64 bit the server will perform a hard reboot. I don't get any messages in dmesg or anything. This happens as soon as the Solaris banner appears. The server we are using has the quad core 2.83Ghz processors (model 5440). Also uses the P400 RAID card. Anyone have this configuration working? Any ideas on what I can do to further debug this problem?
I had ran into the similar situation on DL380 G5. I searched on Internet and found someone mentioning something about installing patch 127112-11. I did install the whole patch cluster, which included this particular patch and the server rebooted fine in 64-bit mode. Hope this helps.
