same question... however my database is a DB2 database. Thanks
Yes ... Oracle revisions 8.1.5 or 8.1.7 only are supported by the Meta 5.0 Database connector. I believe they are adding Oracle 9i support to the 5.1 release.
Hello, there's no official support for Oracle 9.x in Meta-Directory 5.1
HOWEVER, Oracle claim that the OCI client that comes with 817 is compatible with Oracle 9.2
We have tried this in our labs and it appears to work just fine. One catch is the SQL scripts that the console creates require modification. the errors are fairly obvious if you execute the sql script line by line using SQL*Plus that comes with 9i. Basically there's a different rollback segment strategy that's default enabled in 9.2 so the meta scripts try and create a manual rollback segment.
We have customers who have deployed Meta 5.0/5.1 with Oracle 9.2, you need to check with your Support Representive/Sales to officially deploy this scenario.

Do you think there will be a MS SQL Server connector in the future?
