failed to create connector view with Sun Java(TM) System Directory Server/5
Sep 14, 2005 4:15 AM
I do work with Meta directory 5.1.1, I need to set up a connector view with Sun Java(TM) System Directory Server/5.2_Patch_3 B2004.331.1125 which is part of a Portal server environment.
The connector requests the version from the Directory server and looks probably for Sun One instead of Sun Java Directory Server.
Is there any patch or workaround about this issue

I got around this issue by changing the server version within the server.
I beleive all you need to change is the nsslapd-versionsting on the cn=config object
change it from:
nsslapd-versionstring: Sun Java(TM) System Directory Server/5.2_Patch_3
It's been a while, but I'm fairly sure that's the attribute I updated.
