Look at desktop/default/JSPTableContainerProvider/table.jsp.
I think one way to do this is,
1. copy JSPTableContainerProvider and create your own MyCustomTableContainerProvider
2. customize the jsp files lying under this directory to get your required layout.
but how do you tell the portal to look into the new directory?
I am assuming that you know how to modify display profile, create new desktop_type etc.
Steps to be performed to create a custom table container is given below,
1. download your dp
2. add new container which extends JSPTableContainer
<Container advanced="true" lock="false" merge="fuse" name="MyJSPTableContainer" provider="JSPTableContainerProvider">
3. Upload the modified dp.
4. copy jsp files from developer_sample/JSPTableContainer directory to your_desktop/MyJSPTableContainer and modify them to fit your requirement.
The file lookup mechanism in portal will take care of picking files from your new directory.
