Problems with java_ee_sdk-5_05-windows.exe on Windows Vista

    807574
I have downloaded java_ee_sdk-5_05-windows.exe to install the applications server on Windows Vista. I have followed all the steps at the installation, and it worked ok.

But when I start up the AppServer I find two problems:

      1.- The console shows,

Standard JMX Clients (like JConsole) can connect to JMXServiceURL:
      [null] for domain management purposes.
Domain listens on at least following ports for connections:
      [8080 8181 4848 3700 3820 3920 8686 ].
Domain does not support application server clusters and other standalone instanc
      es.

      2.- The server.log shows,

      C:/Sun/SDK/lib/jhall.jar;C:\Sun\SDK\lib\appserv-launch.jar
      com.sun.enterprise.server.PELaunch
      start

          Hi,

I think the issue is exposed on Bug ID:6402335 (http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6402335)
          where I found as follows:
Simple fix is to just remove the setReuseAddress from socket service code.
Any help about what does it mean.

          Thanking in advance,
          Oggie

            Hi,

I think it could be a solution to create a LifeCycleModule for domain1. I have been visiting some pages here on Sun
and I Think this is what I have to do. But it is quite delicated, I mean, if I create (with asadmin on the console) a
LifeCycleModule I can cause an error on shutdown the AppServer.

            I will apreciate any idea.

            Thanking in advance.

I have found this page (http://osdir.com/ml/java.netbeans.j2ee/2007/msg01651.html), where they are talking about
a possible solution to my problem, but I am not sure at all. I can change my Windows Vista administrator name,
Jos, by localhost. I guess GlassFish does not work with this tag
              <jms-service addresslist-behavior="random" addresslist-iterations="3" default-jms-host="default_JMS_host" init-timeout-in-seconds="60"
              reconnect-attempts="3" reconnect-enabled="true" reconnect-interval-in-seconds="5" type="EMBEDDED">
              <jms-host admin-password="admin" admin-user-name="admin" host="*Jos1*" name="default_JMS_host" port="7676"/>
              </jms-service>
I have tried to put localhost as the conversation recommend but GlashFish does not work as well. I think I am getting closer to the solution.

              Any idea?

              Thx
              Jos lvarez de Lara (Oggie)

                Hi,

It is what I guessed as the web page explains. The domain.xml file does not recognize any equipment name
that as an acute in it. That was my case. So I have changed the name of my equipment and the problem was
resolved when I installed the GlassFish again.

Thanks for all of you about to visit my posts

                See you around,
