Could some one point some reference. Thanks .
Auto-refresh uses a feature of the database called continuous query notification (and I assume it uses Guaranteed mode). The [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e17125/adfns_cqn.htm#CHDGEBFH]database documentation states that queries with ORDER BYs cannot be used with continuous query notification in guaranteed mode.
May i know , how the auto refresh should work.
1. The LOV's VO is set to auto refresh.
2. DB user given the permission.
3. The Attribute is set as Key attribute.
In case of new record in the row does the LOV will be updated spontaneously or some user action has to happen in the UI. In my case the rew value showing up in the LOV when i click on the reset button.
Hi, i looked into the ADF run-time source code and i can see that , the connection object " OracleDatabaseChangeListenerWrapper" class setting the mode as "BEST_EFFORT".
I would assume , by default adf run-time using the best effort mode , not the guaranteed mode.
The data base doc also says in best effort mode "order by" clause as well as key word "like" can be used for continuous query notification. But still i'm getting "ORA-29983".
Could some one clarify me. Thanks .
Just curious has this been solved? is it a adf bug?
btw, if the table YYYY is a synonym, it seems not to be able to use CQN
