Customizing JDS on SunRay (Desktop looses settings)
Dec 14, 2009 1:27 PM
in a Sunray based environment, we are testing wether the Sun Java Desktop is usable.
We are running a simple Solaris 10 X86 configuration without Configuration Manager. Users have their Unix home directories mounted read/write via NFS.
I am new to this GNOME-like desktop, so, at the moment, we have these problems:
- After logout, JDS looses it's settings, such as desktop background and panel configuration. Other applications such as Thunderbird can store their configurations.
- I cannot configure a different keyboard layout (like Swiss keyboard). Also, when I configure the input method manager, that configuraion is lost after logout.
Is there anyone who might be able to enlighten me with this ?
