I'd also like to "vote" for this..
..and I'd be interested in any background on Oracle's strategy here:
- are mobile thin clients of (strategic) interest for Oracle ?
- will Oracle support all approaches in parallel, or focus on:
-- manufactured notebook-like devices, like Tadpole M1500 or Accutech Gobi ?
-- sock notebooks with fat client OS and OVDC application.

I had a Gobi for testing purposes, it was a nightmare. The menu was unintelligent, we gave it back after a 1/2 day of testing. These days, where people buy iPads, Android Handies you need a quite different strategy if you want to reach the people everywhere in a secure manner.

looks nice, I want it now, I want it now, I want it all ...
General Dynamics IT apparently makes a SunRAY firmwared thin notebook according to our VDI sales rep, havent seen them nor seen the prices but ask your VDI rep for more info..
They're called "Tadpoles." GD is one of my accounts.
- have seen them on Oracle World 2010, is quite interesting. I was thinking about these devices for our road warriors. Also they have WiFi, which the SunRay currently does not have, which is nice for sitting somewhere with your device.
Hi all, just want to let you know, that Vmware has launched Vmware View for iPAD yesterday. So if Oracle want to be at the edge of the big three, it's time.
kind regards, thomas
Stop dreaming. Start drooling...
but if you read carefully Oracle Virtual Desktop Client (OVCD) 3.0: Strategic Direction Preview ... so it's not there so far, but maybe it will come, hopefully before OOW2011.
