I have an idea what might be happening. Are you using the username "admin" and password "syncpass" to get into the SGMP admin console? Those are the default credentials. You can change the password after you get in. Good luck.
Thanks for your reply. But i tried with username: admin and password: adminpass as was in default configuration. I also tried with password: syncpass, but still no luck. But interestingly i can always log in to the "Sun Glassfish server v2.1 administration console" with the username: admin and password: adminpass. But can never log in to the "SGMP administration console"!
Moving forward, i'm already frustrated with SGMP since the support is not as good as sun's other forums. I may try a fresh installation tomorrow but after that i'm not sure whether i will try again or not. Please let me know how to solve this problem if you can.
I really appreciated your effort, thanks again.
After a fresh re installation it worked perfectly.
However, i guess MySQL needs to be installed as server mode to get SGMP working.
If i'm not wrong, the documents says the default password is 'adminpass' but its actually 'syncpass'. Please read the document carefully too.
Thanks for replying on this. You are right about the error in the doc on the password. I was under the misimpression that the error had been fixed. I'll follow up on that.
I reconfigured my MySQL installation to use Server mode too. Hope that resolves the problem.
I am having the exact same problem. I have a version of glassfish that I installed several months ago. Is there a new version that fixes this feature??
