I was doing a simple compare between what I'm sure to be the local time (eg Calendar.getInstance()) and what I'm assuming to be the UTC time (Calendar.getInstance(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT-0"))). Eg: "utc.getTimeInMillis() == now.getTimeInMillis()".
If I call "new Date()" does that always bring me a Date relative to UTC?
