My approach to this:
- Create a data object that can hold whatever data structure that's in your xml.
- Create a sax parser that parses the file into an object of the above class or a collection of them (you can probably find that in the links provided above)
- Store each object into the database (many ways to do this: plenty of JDBC or hibernate tutorials around..., allthough I wouldn't recomend hibernate in case you have a limited knowledge of java)
